Anti-Griefing Features

Our setup to limit griefing and deter griefers

Chunk System

By owning plots, player can have a safe space that they control and can build a home on without the fear of losing their progress to griefers

Claiming Chunks

  • BMC4 includes a chunk claim system that allows players to "own" a chunk

  • Claimed chunks can only be modified by players that own them, or players added to the owner's team (there's also a party/ally system)

    • This includes storage item access, players cannot open chests ..etc in chunks that are owned by other players not in their party

    • Each player can configure the level of access that their party can have to their claimed chunks

  • I've configured it so that each player can own up to 4 chunks at any given time (let me know if you'd like to change this)

    • Players can release chunks they own, in order to claim other chunks as long as they're always within the limit we specify (currently 4 chunks per player)

  • As the server owner, you (Zero) can claim up to a billion chunks

  • As the server owner, you (Zero) can use the /landlord command to activate/deactivate chunk-admin mode

    • When in chunk-admin mode, you can:

      • Modify any chunk, including chunks owned by other players

      • Release chunks that are owned by other players, effectively cancelling their ownership

      • Confiscate chunks owned by other players for yourself

Force-loading chunks

  • The chunk systems allows you to "force-load" a chunk, meaning the chunk will be always active even if no one is in range of it

    • This is useful for things like growing crops or smelting items while you're away on adventures or offline

  • Each player can force-load up to 1 chunk that they own

  • As the server owner, you (Zero) can force-load up to a billion chunks

    • It's not recommended to force-load too many chunks, as it uses up server resources

  • When you enable /landlord, you (Zero) can disable force-loading on any chunk, even those you don't own
